Terms and Conditions for Career Website Services

By purchasing any Career Website Setup or Website Management service from Sharp Career Image, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure clarity, protect your rights as a client, and outline what you can expect from us as your service provider.

1. Scope of Services

The website development process includes six core phases:

  1. Learning and Planning – We begin with a discovery session to understand your goals, preferences, and industry. We also research competitors to ensure your site is distinct and effective.

  2. Content Creation – Our team develops original written content for your website based on your career and objectives.

  3. Website Build – Your site is custom designed to be mobile responsive, visually appealing, and easy to navigate. Lead forms, calls to action, and essential features are integrated.

  4. Revision and Testing – We test your site across devices and browsers and review the draft with you. Revisions are made as needed. Basic on-page SEO is also implemented.

  5. Publishing – We handle all hosting, provide an SSL certificate, integrate Google Analytics, and set up a client-friendly analytics dashboard.

  6. Maintenance and Updates – Monthly support includes unlimited standard content or design updates completed within two business days, as well as annual strategy check-ins.

2. Service Fees and Payment Terms
  • A Website Setup Fee is due upon purchase and is non-refundable.

  • A Monthly Website Management Fee covers hosting, support, and updates. This fee is non-refundable once processed.

  • Payment is required to maintain active service.

  • Fees for premium features, plugins, or custom integrations may apply and will be disclosed before implementation.

3. Cancellation Policy

There are no long-term contracts. You may cancel at any time with written notice. Cancellation ends future billing but does not entitle you to refunds for payments already processed.

Upon cancellation, you may request a transfer of your website and content. We will provide reasonable support for the transfer, excluding any licensed third-party assets.

4. Ownership and Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, ownership of the website design and original content transfers to you. However, third-party tools, templates, plugins, or software remain subject to their respective licensing terms.

Sharp Career Image reserves the right to showcase non-confidential design work in portfolios or promotional materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide timely feedback, approvals, and requested materials throughout the project. Delays in communication or approvals may extend timelines. Sharp Career Image is not responsible for missed deadlines due to lack of client participation.

6. Maintenance and Update Terms

Ongoing updates must fall within a reasonable scope, such as changes to text, images, forms, or minor layout edits. New pages, extensive redesigns, or custom development work will require a separate agreement.

Update requests are typically completed within two business days.

7. Performance Disclaimer

While Sharp Career Image follows best practices in web design, user experience, and SEO, we do not guarantee specific results such as increased website traffic, search rankings, or lead generation.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim related to the services provided is limited to the amount paid by the client. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to business interruption, data loss, or loss of revenue.

9. Additional Scope of Work

If you request features or functionality beyond the standard package (such as additional pages, e-commerce tools, or third-party integrations) Sharp Career Image will present the proposed scope and any associated costs in writing. No additional charges will be applied without your written approval. A separate agreement may be issued for expanded services.

10. Missed Payments and Suspension of Services

Clients are responsible for keeping payment information current. If a monthly Website Management Fee fails to process, we will attempt to contact you and resolve the issue.

If payment is not received within ten (10) calendar days of the due date, Sharp Career Image reserves the right to suspend your website and temporarily remove it from public access. Continued nonpayment may result in permanent data loss and service termination.

We are not responsible for any disruption, data loss, or damages resulting from service suspension due to nonpayment. Restoration may require a reinstatement fee or new setup fee if prolonged.

11. Service Interruptions and Modifications

Sharp Career Image strives to maintain uninterrupted access to your website but cannot guarantee availability in all circumstances. Service may be interrupted for routine maintenance, technical issues, or updates.

We reserve the right to update service terms or modify available features at any time. Significant changes will be communicated in writing.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
