Get better results from Indeed and other platforms in less time!
I often use and recommend Indeed to my clients because it’s known for having one of the highest placement rates among job boards, making it a reliable option for landing a role quickly. On the other hand, LinkedIn is my top choice for its networking power.
However, while both platforms are strong in their own ways, I’ve noticed that the search process on Indeed can sometimes be frustrating. The search functionality on Indeed can sometimes be hit or miss, often showing results that don’t quite match what you’re looking for. This can lead to a lot of time wasted scrolling through irrelevant job listings instead of finding opportunities that fit your skills and preferences. LinkedIn is excellent for networking, but its job search feature can miss opportunities posted on other sites.
A Smarter Approach: Using Google Chrome for Job Searches
One method I recommended to clients is searching for jobs directly through Google Chrome. Instead of jumping between multiple job boards, simply open Chrome and type in a search like “Account Executive jobs.” Google will gather listings from various platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, Monster, and others, and display them all in one convenient place.
As seen in the screenshot below, Google makes it easy to browse listings from different sources at once. You can even follow your search by clicking the "Follow" button, and Google will send you daily email updates with fresh job opportunities that match your criteria. This feature has been incredibly useful for clients who want to stay on top of new openings without having to manually check each day.

Using Google Chrome to search for jobs and following searches to receive daily email updates is an easy way to stay ahead of the game. It gives you access to a much broader range of opportunities, without having to bounce around from one job board to the next.
